Includes Stealth Black ELEMNT BOLT, Stealth Grey TICKR Heart Rate Monitor, and RPM Speed and Cadence Sensors.

The Element Bolt is similar to Wahoo’s famous Element, only in a smaller, lighter, more aero package. In terms of what it can do, it shares all the computing power, all the options, all the connectivity. But, with the smaller design, it only has one set of LED lights on the top edge, rather than one on the side and one on the top. It also has a smaller screen and smaller buttons. And this "Stealth" version just takes the same package and gives it a meaner demeanor.
But its compact dimensions encompass some notable advantages, not just compared to its larger brother, but to any computer on the market. First, it’s designed to be aerodynamic, with the computer designed to perfectly mesh with the out-front mount. If you’re riding a 40km time trial at 21mph, you’ll save 12.6 seconds or 1.5 watts over the leading competitor. The second is that thanks to a setscrew in the mount, the computer can be counted as weight by the UCI, which means it is counted as part of the 6.9kg UCI weight minimum. Not that it weighs much at 60g.

You need a smartphone (Apple iPhone 4S or newer, Android 4.2 or newer) and the Wahoo app to set up the Element Bolt – the screens, the maps, and everything else. The computer itself works with ANT+ and Bluetooth Smart (aka Bluetooth Low Energy) sensors, and has WiFi as well. It can even communicate with SRAM eTap, Shimano Di2, Campagnolo EPS, and FSA electronic shifting systems. The app also allows you to download and install new firmware on the computer, as they’re still improving the programming there. It also can be done via WiFi. And the WiFi makes it easy to auto-upload rides after they’re done. In terms of other third-party software, you have great options, including Best Bike Split, BSXInsight, Komoot, Moxy, and Ride with GPS.
You can customize the screen in many ways. You can set it up with data prioritization, so that it only reads the ones you want to see, and you can easily add or remove data fields while riding. So you chose the most important data fields, then add up to ten, just with the tap of a side button, and remove them just as easily. You can program in up to eight different pages of fields, too. The front bottom also has a start/stop/lap button and a settings button, though you can choose an auto-stop function, as well.

There are over 160 metrics to choose from, including all the permutations you can think of for speed, heart rate, cadence, power, altitude, and more. The hard drive is 2.7 gigabytes and comes pre-loaded with maps of the entire world. With the app, you can remove the maps you don’t need, and then re-install later. You can have a mapping page as well as input turn-by-turn navigation.

And it goes further. With your phone in your pocket and mated to the Bolt, you can find friends as they’re riding, if they’re near you or coming at you, or just in the neighborhood. You can integrate with your Strava account to put rides on the Bolt and then have them tracked and uploaded as you go. You can have phone alerts pushed from your phone onto the Bolt, so it’s on the screen rather than you having to pull the phone out to see who’s calling or texting. And the Bolt can be used as the ride controller when you’ve got your bike attached to a Wahoo trainer.

The screen size is 55.9mm measured diagonally. The battery life is 10-15 hours between charges, depending on how much you use the backlight and phone connectivity. It has a waterproof rating of IPX7, meaning waterproof up to five feet. Just the like standard unit, the Wahoo Elemnt Bolt Stealth GPS Cycling Computer comes with the out-front mount, a stem/handlebar mount, zip ties, a USB charging cable, user's manual, and a quick-start guide.
