To relish the long miles like its essentially identical GS siblings, the GS:BLK's midsole is taller than its GL cousins. But the energetic and durable 100% HTPU superfoam remains the same for the carrier base layer. Directly under your soles, the proprietary foam of the drop-in core layer adds plush responsiveness. Like other Speedland models, this core is removable to add an optional Carbitex GearFlex carbon fiber plate (sold separately), if desired.
The premium upper is made of breathable spacer mesh to keep your feet cool and dry, with strategic high-tenacity fiber for durability. Its PerformFit Wrap is activated by the BOA Fit System's two multi-directional Li2 dials. These advanced dials allow you to make micro-adjustments tighter and looser as the Wrap overlays secure all the key areas of your feet. So now, quicker and easier than ever, you can tighten up for technical descents or loosen up for more comfort on the flats.
Connecting you to the trail, the Michelin Fiber Lite outsole features 6.5 mm lugs for sticky traction and aggressive bite. The lug tips are designed as cuttable blocks, if you wish to trim them shorter. If you run in humid environments or through creeks regularly, you have the option to cut open the drainage hole under the arch.
