Product Description

Lighten the crank, drop the hammer. At least that was Israel Premiere Tech rider Simon Clarke’s system when he won Stage 5 of the 2022 Tour de France, laying down the watts with his Aldhu Carbon & INspider on the wicked Arenberg cobbles.

A World Tour Team like Israel Premier Tech takes full advantage of the versatility of ROTOR’s award-winning modular crank design when they go from aero time trial priorities, to cobble-conquering stiffness for the sprint, to gram-defying climbing goals. Why do you care about design awards? Because those awards mean ROTOR reduced the number of parts & interfaces, allowing us to shed those pesky grams and incidentally, there’s less chance of creaking. It also means you can run your rig 1x or 2x, make it aero, make it featherweight, or make it a watt-tracking machine.

At 350g for a 172mm crank/axle, Aldhu Carbon is light enough to race up the Alpe d’Huez while still crushing the Roubaix sections that challenge the strongest setups.

The ALDHU's name comes directly from our racing heritage. It is an abbreviation of Alpe d’Huez to commemorate ROTOR’s first iconic victory at the Tour de France with Carlos Sastre.

Note: BB386 and BB86 frames may run into clearance issues; please call us for compatibility before ordering and check for contact before riding.
