The Orca Athlex Flow Wetsuit achieves a perfect balance between elasticity and buoyancy. High-elasticity materials are incorporated in the upper body, while buoyancy technologies are featured in the legs. These technologies allow the swimmer to correct their position in the water, achieving a more hydrodynamic posture.
Elasticity, maximum flexibility and total freedom of movement are brought together thanks to the combination of Yamamoto 39 neoprene, Infinity Skin 2 lining and Smoothskin surface finish. With this combination, the open water swimmer will use 35% less force in fast movements and short strokes, while slower and wider movements will require 45% less force than any other conventional neoprene.
Orca's new Aerodome technology, applied to the lower body, gives the swimmer 30% more buoyancy. The secret is in its construction: there are hundreds of pockets located between two layers of pre-treated neoprene. Unlike Exo-lift, the inner layer of this material is composed of a high-quality lining that gives the neoprene more elasticity. Orca utilizes this material in specific areas, depending on the needs of the swimmer, in order to facilitate proper rotation.
