Cannondale’s Jekyll 29 1 is a high-performing full-suspension endurance machine that is surprisingly agile with all-mountain capabilities. This version comes with 29-inch wheels, helping you roll right over obstacles rather than having to find away around them. Maximum maneuverability and control is synonymous with the Jekyll thanks to a center to rear-biased weight distribution. This setup along with a short stem and wide handle bars give riders everything they need to dominate technical terrain.
The frame of the Cannondale Jekyll 29 1 is made with BallisTec carbon, giving it a lightweight and stiff feel without sacrificing its durability. The carbon frame is complimented by SmartForm Alloy swingarms which add to the overall strength and stiffness of the frame. Outstanding stability is achieved through a 65-degree head tube angle along with ultra-short chainstays which allow for uncanny agility. A steep seat angle promotes powerful pedaling, especially through tough climbs. The geometry of the Cannondale Jekyll has all your bases covered in a true all-mountain bike.
Fox Shox jumped in to co-develop the suspension system on this bike with Cannondale. The Gemini Shock gives you full freedom of your suspension, helping riders excel in all areas of the ride from technical terrain to climbs and flat sprints. You can choose “Hustle Mode” which shortens the travel to 120mm or “Flow Mode” which is good for 150mm of travel. The suspension mode is easy to change on the fly so you can quickly adjust to the terrain ahead. A single-pivot design link between the swingarm and shocks to keep the suspension active through braking. Flatmount disc brakes assure that stopping is always a confident endeavor in any weather.
The Jekyll is compatible with all shifting systems and is Di2 ready in case you want to switch to an electronic group. An internal battery mount is featured for a clean look while leaving clearance for an internal dropper post. This version features a SRAM X01 Eagle 12-speed groupset. Clean cable management securely houses all cables regardless of configuration. A water bottle mount is integrated into the frame in a way that keeps it safe from spray and mud while keeping it within an arm’s reach, topping off the convenience of this bike. If you are ready to tear up the most technical trails, the Cannondale Jekyll will be right there with you.
